This is a run down in basic terms of how CGC grade and a description of that set grading!
Poor 0.5 - A heavily defaced collectable with multiple major defects, multiple pieces may missing.
Fair 1.0 - A very poorly handled collectable with a accumulation of major defects.
Fair/Good 1.5 - A collectable that shows extensive evidence of handling with heavy acclamation of defects.
Good 1.8 - A collectable thats shows evidence of handling with numerous major defects.
Good 2.0 - A collectable thats shows extensive evidence of handling with numerous to moderate defects.
Good 2.5 - A collectable that shows evidence of extensive handling with multiple to moderate defects.
Good/Very Good 3.0 - A collectable which shows of significant handling with several to moderate to major defects.
Very Good- 3.5 - A below average collectable with several major defects or a accumulation of moderate defects.
Very Good 4.0 - A below average collectable with multiple moderate defects.
Very Good+ 4.5 - A slightly below average collectable with multiple moderate defects.
Very Good/Fine 5.0 - An average collectable with several moderate defects.
Fine- 5.5 - A slightly above average collectable with several moderate defects.
Fine 6.0 - A slightly above average collectable with a major defect and smaller defects
Fine+ 6.5 - An above average collectable with a major and some smaller defects or significant amount of smaller defects.
Fine/Very Fine 7.0 - An above average collectable with a major defect or accumulation of smaller defects.
Very fine- 7.5 - An above average collectable with a moderate defect or an accumulation of smaller defects.
Very fine 8.0 - An attractive collectable with a moderate defect or An accumulation of smaller defects.
Very fine + 8.5 - An attractive collectable with a moderate defect or a number of small defects.
Very fine/Near mint 9.0 - A very well preserved collectable with good eye appeal, there will be a number of minor handling and or manufacturing defects.
Near mint- 9.2 - A very well preserved collectable with some wear and small manufacturing or handling defects.
Near mint 9.4 - A very well preserved collectable with minor wear and with small manufacturing or handling defects.
Near mint+ 9.6 - A very well preserved collectable with several minor or handling defects.
Near mint/Mint 9.8 - A nearly perfect collectable with negligible handling or manufacture defects.
Mint 9.9 - This collectable is nearly indistinguishable from a 10.0 but will have very minor manufacturing defect, it will not have any evidence of handling defects.
Gem mint 10.0 - The highest grade assigned the collectable must have no evidence of handling or manufacturing defects.
